Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Balls



I used to live off packaged protein balls a couple of years ago but most are full of crappy ingredients including sucralose. I try to avoid protein bars if I can and opt to make my own.

I always make a batch of protein balls on Sundays to have a quick snack before a workout or afternoon snack. Don’t omit the sea salt. That’s what gives it the cookie dough flavour!

Ingredients:

  • 2 scoops plant based vanilla protein powder (I like Garden of Life brand or Vega sport)

  • 2 tbs smooth peanut butter

  • 1 tbs organic honey

  • 1 tbs hemp hearts

  • 2 tbs cacao nibs or dark chocolate chips

  • 1 tbs coconut flakes

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ½ tsp sea salt

Method:

Combine all ingredients in a mixing bowl and add a small amount of hot water. Mix until soft dough forms and roll into balls. Makes approx. 6 servings.
