Healthy Hot Chocolate



Hot chocolate is one of my favorite night time drinks. It reminds me so much of being a kid and sitting around a fire. I love this after dinner for a sweet treat and to wind down before bed. Cocoa powder is a good source of magnesium to help calm the nervous system as well.


Healthy Hot Chocolate

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups almond milk

  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

  • 1-2 tbsp of honey or maple syrup (I like to use stevia for a low sugar option)

  • 1 tsp coconut oil

Method:

Whisk ingredients together in a pot over the stove and bring to desired temperature. Blend it up before serving to get it nice and frothy. Serve in your favorite mug and enjoy!
