Protein Brownie Bites


These are my all time new favourite midday treat! They taste like cake and are full of healthy fats and protein. I sometimes even have a couple for breakfast with coffee! So yummy. Try making a batch on Sunday so you have some healthy treats for the week.


Ingredients:

  • 1 cup walnuts

  • 2 scoops chocolate protein powder* (I used Botanica vegan protein)

  • 2 tbsp cacao or cocoa powder

  • 5 large medjool dates

  • 1 tbsp coconut oil

  • 2 tbsp nut butter (I like almond or tahini)

  • pinch of sea salt


Method:

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and blend. You may have to add a little warm water to get a nice doughy consistency. Roll into balls and refrigerate.


*I like to use vegan protein powder when I make bars or balls. I find whey doesn't work as well!
