Protein Rich Hemp Heart Hummus



Homemade hummus is so easy to make and is so much better than the store bought ones. It's full of fibre, protein and healthy fats. I eat hummus with literally everything: chicken, fish, eggs, veggies and crackers. It makes the perfect afternoon snack to tide you over till dinner.


Hemp Heart Hummus:

Ingredients:

  • 1 can chick peas, drained and rinsed

  • Juice of 1 lemon

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp tahini

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 2 cloves of garlic

  • 2 tbsp water

  • Handful of fresh parsley

  • 2 tbsp hemp hearts

Method:

Add all ingredients except for hemp hearts into a food processor. Blend until smooth. Mix in hemp hearts.
