My Famous Banana Bread Recipe

I think I have made banana bread about 10 times over the past two months. I keep purposely buying too many bananas at the grocery store. This banana bread is made with simple ingredients that you are sure to have on hand. It is not overly sweet and makes the perfect breakfast on the go slathered with some almond butter!

Dry Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups oatmeal flour (just blend whole oats in a food processor or magic bullet)

  • 1/3 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar

  • 2 tbsps ground flaxseeds

  • 1 tsp baking soda

  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 large bananas mashed

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/3 cup almond milk

  • 2 tbsp olive or coconut oil, melted

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)

Optional add ins: dark chocolate chips, walnuts or blueberries!


Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Combine mashed bananas, eggs, almond milk, oil and vanilla in a large mixing bowl. Combine dry ingredients in separate bowl and mix together well. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry and stir until combined. Stir in chocolate chips or walnuts if desired. Pour mixture into greased bread pan and bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool before serving.


It extra good with a little coconut yogurt, nut butter and sprinkle of cinnamon! You must try!
