I am personally a more of a smoothie kind of gal but if my body is craving more nutrients or greens, I will typically splurge on a juice. I try to find one with little to no fruit in it or I make one of my own.
Here is my favourite juice recipe and you don't even need a juicer! So hydrating, detoxifying and helps to reduce inflammation.
Super Greens Juice
1 cup coconut water
1/2 cup filtered water
2 handfuls organic greens mix or spinach
1/2 cup cucumber
Small piece of fresh ginger or turmeric
1/2 cup fruit (my favourites are strawberries or pineapple)
Small handful of mint, parsley or cilantro
**Optional: Add 1 tbsp chia seeds or 1/3 avocado for some healthy fats
Add all ingredients to a blender. Add more water if needed. Yields 2 cups.
