Hydrating Watermelon Slushie

Is there anything better than sweet and refreshing watermelon in the summer time? In the warmer months it’s really important to stay hydrated with not just water. For optimal hydration we need to be incorporating minerals like potassium, sodium and magnesium. This yummy summer drink is not only tasty, it boasts many health benefits and is great for supporting the adrenal glands.

Did you know that even a 2% decrease in water intake can lead to:

  • Cravings for salt and sugar

Ingredients in the Water Melon Slushie

  • Watermelon

Minerals for Hormone Health

When the body is under stress (which lets be honest, most of us are) it burns thorugh essential nutrients like vitamin c, potassium, magnesium and sodium. This slushie is full of nutrients that help to replenish the body.

Make it a Meal

Want to turn this slushie into a nourishing smoothie? Add in 2 tbsps of full fat coconut milk from a can and a scoop of your favourite vanilla protein.

I like to have this drink in the afternoon to help with the 3 pm slump. I find it helps to relief brain fog and fatigue. Pair it with a handful of nuts for a nourishing, blood sugar balancing snack.
