How to Make a Hummus Board

Need a simple and easy appy to bring to the Christmas party? Look no further! This hummus board is festive, delicious and no one will even know it’s healthy for them. Make this delicious and healthy hummus board for an office party potluck, a get together with girlfriends or a Christmas party.

How to Make a Hummus Board

First you need to start off with your favourite hummus. Making your own from scratch is the best and surprisingly easy. You can check out my recipe here for dill hummus but I would swap the dill for parsley for this board. If using store bought, try swirling in a few tablespoons of greek yogurt to make the dip a bit more lighter and fluffier for dipping.

Toppings:

  • Good quality olive oil

  • Nuts and seeds like pistachios, almonds, pine nuts and pumpkin seeds. I used a combination and chopped them up.

  • Pomegranate seeds. These add a nice sweet flavour to the dip.

  • Spices: Feel free to sprinkle with your favourite spices like sumac, paprika for a touch of spice or cumin.

  • Fresh herbs: This gives it a pop a freshness and colour. I have used both parsley and cilantro.

  • Cheese: I used crumbled feta for a nice salty and tangy taste.

Hummus is made from chickpeas, tahini, olive oil, garlic and spices and is a great healthy option for snacks and to add to meals. I made a big batch of this and have been having it for lunch on toasted sourdough bread. Truly delicious and decadent! Make it for a party or just for yourself for easy, nourishing snacks and lunches all week.
