Whipped Cottage Cheese Toast with Honey and Pistachios

Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day. This super easy and protein packed breakfast (or snack) idea is sure to get you out of the breakfast rut. It almost tastes like you are eating cheesecake for breakfast!

This protein packed whipped cottage cheese toast is packed with protein to keep you full and satiated.

I always like to start my day of with a good amount of protein to help regulate blood sugar and cortisol levels. Cottage cheese is high in protein and super satiating.

Substitutions

  1. If you don’t like cottage cheese, full fat greek yogurt would work here too.

  2. You can swap in any chopped nut for the pistachios. Walnuts or almonds would work great.

  3. Maple syrup is a great substitute for honey!

Whipped Cottage Cheese Toast with Honey and Pistachios

Serves 1:

  • 1/3 cup cottage cheese

  • 1 slice toasted sourdough or whole grain bread

  • Honey

  • Chopped pistachios

  • Cinnamon

Method:

  1. Blend the cottage cheese in a blender until smooth.

  2. Toast your bread and spread with the whipped cottage cheese.

  3. Sprinkle over pistachios and drizzle with honey.

  4. Sprinkle with cinnamon and enjoy!
